A dental emergency is any situation involving your teeth, gums or mouth that needs prompt attention to relieve pain, stop bleeding, address infection or prevent further damage. Common emergencies we treat at Globe Dental Practice include severe toothache, chipped or broken teeth, knocked-out or loosened teeth, dental abscesses, lost crowns or fillings, facial swelling and injuries following accidents or trauma.
Globe Dental Practice provides NHS and private emergency dental care for adults and children from our practice at 53 Beam Street, Nantwich. Emergency appointments are available from £89, and if you need to spread the cost, flexible dental finance options are available. Our full fee structure is published on our fees page.
If you are unsure whether your situation is a dental emergency, do not wait. Call us and we will assess your symptoms and advise you immediately. Leaving dental pain or infection untreated can allow problems to develop that require more involved treatment, including root canal treatment. Acting quickly gives us the best chance of saving the tooth and resolving the problem in a single visit.
Dental pain is not something you should have to manage alone or wait weeks to address. We prioritise emergency patients and aim to offer same day appointments so you receive prompt, effective care that gets you out of pain as quickly as possible.
A cracked tooth, developing abscess or lost filling might not seem urgent, but left untreated these issues can escalate into more complex and costly problems. Addressing a dental emergency early is almost always faster, simpler and less expensive than treating the consequences of delay.
Globe Dental Practice provides emergency dental care for both adults and children, covering NHS and private treatment. Whether it is a child with a knocked-out tooth or an adult with a painful abscess, our team has the experience and technology on site to treat the whole family under one roof.

Act quickly. Pick up the tooth by the crown, not the root. If it is dirty, rinse it gently with milk or clean water but do not scrub it. If possible, place it back in the socket and hold it there gently. If you cannot do this, keep it moist by storing it in milk or between your cheek and gum. Call us immediately. The sooner you are seen, the better the chance of saving the tooth.
